‘Recharging your batteries’ looks different to different people. Some people need some quiet time- maybe even meditation. Some people play off the energy of others, some people need to read and or write, some need to sing and dance to music, some need to exercise, some need to become one with nature, some people need a long car ride, and some paint, draw, or doodle. Some people use several methods, and for most of us, that continually changes. There is no right way, there is no wrong way, you need to do works for you.
For me, one of the ways I like to recharge my batteries is to go for a walk, paddle out in the lake on a kayak, or go for a boat ride. The ironic thing is, no matter what recharges your batteries, some work is involved. It might be as simple as putting on the right clothes, or uncovering the boat, and covering it back up again, setting up the area to sit down and read, or putting gas in your car so you can take a ride. No matter what it is, there is a bit of work involved in getting recharged.
“Don’t think for a moment that you know it all,
for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion
and avoid everything that’s wrong.
Then you will find the healing refreshment
your body and spirit long for.” Proverbs 3:7-8
